Delta variant is driving majority of U.S. Covid cases | CNBC Television

The delta variant now accounts for 83 percent of sequenced Covid cases in the U.S. That number was 50% on July 3, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky told a Senate committee Tuesday. Covid deaths have also risen by nearly 48% over the past week, also driven by the delta variant.
